3CS Designs the Website for Alumni Association University of Colombo

On 25th June 2015, 3CS designed and launched the website of the Alumni Association University of Colombo. The website was ceremonially launched at the Annual General Meeting of the Association by Chief Guest Prof. Mohan De Silva, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Guest of Honour Prof. Lalitha Mendis, Competent Authourity of the University of Colombo and Rajeev Amarasuriya, President of the Association. The event was held at the Faculty of Graduate Studies of the University of Colombo.
The aim of the website is to increase participation among the alumni of the University in giving back to their alma mater, and as an information portal on the activities of the Association. The website is fully responsive and compatible with all mobile devices and platforms.
As with every 3CS solution, the website runs on state-of-the-art infrastructure, and has been highly optimised for search engines. 3CS also manages the social media marketing (SMM) for the Alumni Association.
Formed in 1982, the Alumni Association of the University of Colombo is the apex body of the alumni of various faculties of the University, forming a link between its membership and the University. The Association was formed by the University of Colombo during the tenure of the late Prof. Stanley Wijesundera, Vice Chancellor with Mr. Tissa Devendra as the founder President of the Association. The Association has had many distinguished and eminent alumni as its office bearers. Today, the Association continues its role of fostering close ties between the student body, University and its alumni.
